I used to make a pretty effective raccoon lure when I was targeting the little bandits. Bacon grease, sardines, peanut butter, and pepto Bismol, throw it all in a blender. MMmmm MMmmmm GOOD!!!!

Making Mink And Raccoon Lure
By: "bibs from the forum"
Making your own mink and raccoon lure is fun and easy, and now is the time to do it, so it will be ready for trapping season. This is some of the best lure you can make your self. I make several gallons of it every year. This is the main lure I use on my mink and raccoon line. It cost nothing to make so I can use all I want at a set. But I mostly use it because it is powerful and will really call in the mink and coon from long distances. I have even caught fox and coyote with this lure.
Grab your fishing pole and a can of worms, and head down to your local creek, lake, or pond. Catch a mess of fish. It does not matter what kind of fish they are. Or how big they are. Even small chubs and shinners work great. Take them home and put them in a large glass jar. I like to use the big one gallon jars. Fill the jars about 3/4 full of fish. Pack the fish in tight. Fill the jar with water just enough to cover the fish. Now put the cover on the jar. This will keep out the insects and rain out. Do not put the cover on tight. Make sure the cover is loose. This is very important so the gases can escape while the lure is aging. Put the jar in a sunny spot where animals will not be able to get at it. Leave the jar there about a month. Longer is fine. When all the fish are rotted away strain the liquid through a piece of cloth. A old clean T-shirt or bed sheet will work fine. Disregaurd the solids. The remaining liquid is the lure. I like to then place it in squirt bottles to spray around my sets.
Hope this here kinda helps - -
